Beatrice and Belinda are studying for their Bees Finals. They have never been outside their hive before. If they pass their test, they will get to fly out into the real world! But when they venture outside their hive for the first time, things aren’t as nice as they had hoped. Join them to see what and who they will meet in the garden.
Buzzing is Bombinate Theatre’s fourth play. It looks at adventure, the environment and making friends in unusual places.
For first class and up or children aged 6+.
Buzzing was performed in Libraries across Dublin City Council in November 2025 as part of the Dublin City Council’s Creative Hubs Performance Production Partnership commission award

The show began it's development as part of Bombinate's residency at VISUAL Carlow. Buzzing continued its development as part of ReadySteadyShow! and presented a work-in-progress performance in May 2023 as part of Scratch, a work in progress festival at the Civic Theatre, Tallaght.
Buzzing was created by Ursula McGinn in collaboration with Heather O’Sullivan, Honi Cooke, Donncha O’Dea, Johanna O’Brien, John Doran, Caoimhe Whelan and Méabh Crowe.
