BUZZING!
a new show for children aged 6+

Production image from GOODNIGHT EGG. A man wearing glasses, dressed in a blue nightshirt and striped blue nightcap holds a book in one hand and a white egg in the other. The white egg is also wearing tiny glasses and a tiny blue nightcap. In the background, there are cardboard moving boxes. A wooden model house can be partially seen behind the man.
Beatrice and Belinda are studying for their Bees Finals. They have never been outside their hive before. If they pass their test, they will get to fly out into the real world! But when they venture outside their hive for the first time, things aren’t as nice as they had hoped. Join them to see what and who they will meet in the garden.

Buzzing! is Bombinate Theatre’s fourth play. It looks at adventure, the environment and making friends in unusual places. For first class and up or children aged 6+.
BUZZING! is currently being developed by Bombinate Theatre and set for production in 2024.

The show began it's development as part of Bombinate's residency at VISUAL Carlow. Buzzing! continued its development as part of ReadySteadyShow! and presented a work-in-progress performance in May 2023 as part of Scratch, a work in progress festival at the Civic Theatre, Tallaght.

BUZZING! is currently being developed by Ursula McGinn, Honi Cooke and Heather O'Sullivan.

Costume design by Naomi Faughnan.
