GOODNIGHT EGG
a new show for children aged 3-6
Due to COVID-19, our 2020 performances of GOODNIGHT EGG have been postponed. Bombinate Theatre plan to tour GOODNIGHT EGG in May/June 2021.
Sometimes it can be hard to sleep. Our minds wander and we can’t keep our eyes shut. But tonight, things will be different. Cross your fingers (and toes)...
Co-created by John Doran, Ursula McGinn and Mollie Molumby, GOODNIGHT EGG is a joyful new play with puppetry, miniatures and music, for children aged 3-6. |
Bombinate first started to develop ideas for GOODNIGHT EGG as part of Baboró: GROW, Pathways to Production. Here the company received mentorship from Baboró, Branar, Galway Theatre Festival, ITI and Mick Lally Theatre, Druid.
Following this GOODNIGHT EGG was developed with support from The Arts Council's Project Award (Strand 2). Most recently, Bombinate presented work-in-progress showings of the play at Prosperous National School, supported by Creative Schools, at Roscommon Arts Centre supported by The Bookworms Commission Award, and The Civic as part of Ready, Steady, Show!
The play was selected for Culture Ireland and ITI's international pitching session Things We Haven't Made Yet (September 2019). Bombinate Theatre will premiere the show in 2021 funded by the Arts Council's Project Award (Strand 3) in partnership with The Civic and Roscommon Arts Centre.
