a new play for children aged 3-6
Sometimes it can be very hard to sleep. Our minds wander and we can’t keep our eyes shut. But tonight, things will be different. Cross your fingers (and toes)!
Co-created by John Doran, Ursula McGinn and Mollie Molumby, GOODNIGHT EGG is a new play with puppetry, miniatures and music, for children aged 3-6 years.
Bombinate first started to develop GOODNIGHT EGG as part of Baboró: GROW, Pathways to Production. Here the company received mentorship from Baboró, Branar, Galway Theatre Festival, ITI and Mick Lally Theatre, Druid. Bombinate presented a work-in-progress as part of Galway Theatre Festival in March 2018.
GOODNIGHT EGG is currently in development, with support from The Arts Council's Project Award and The Bookworms Commission Award. Most recently, Bombinate presented work-in-progress showings of the play at Prosperous National School, supported by Creative Schools, and at Roscommon Arts Centre as part of the 2019 Bookworms Festival.
